Describe Yourself:
I am a passionate, involved father of four young kids doing everything I can to prioritize family. I am actively involved (and often over-extended) as a volunteer in their schools, as a youth sports coach and on several non-profit boards.
In my worklife, I am founder and CEO of SchoolPulse, a kid management system designed to simplify life for parents and the wonderful people who lead and organize all the events in which their kids participate. Check it out at www.schoolpulse.com.
I have been involved in a variety of startups and love the small company environment. I started my first company in Russia in 1990 and co-founded 3 others including Yandex, the largest search engine in Russia. I have had a couple that didn’t work out and do some angel investing, too. I spent some time at Forrester Research and am an admitted gadget freak. I love technology and I believe it is truly a force for good.
But first and foremost, I am a dad who likes nothing better than hanging out with his kids.
